Our Preacher

Our Preacher

Dale M. Nelson

Army Reserve Chaplain

I’m delighted that you’re visiting the church of Christ-Fond du Lac website.  Our hope is that you find the information provided on the site to be helpful in answering questions you may have about the body of believers worshiping in our community under the church of Christ name.

Today, as throughout the church’s history from its very beginning on Pentecost in AD 33, its members accept the Bible as the inerrant Word of God and strive to follow its teachings in all that we say and do.

As we grow spiritually day by day, we seek to live by Jesus’ teachings thus becoming more like Him, lights shining in a dark world.  We recognize Jesus as the only head of the church our savior, redeemer and king and our worship activities are according to His authority alone.

Churches of Christ are made up of independent congregations across our nation and around the world who simply wish to be known as “Christians” only and whose aim is to make known the “Good News” of the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people.

We invite you to worship with us at your earliest convenience to experience the warmth of our congregation reflected in our sincere love for Jesus.  Come! Walk in faith with us glorifying God and His son Jesus.

“And how shall they hear without a preacher?”  Romans 10:14

As a sound and seasoned preacher of the Gospel, Dale believes in preaching the whole counsel of God with Jesus and His teachings as the central message of each lesson.

Raised in Rushford, MN, Dale has a history of preaching in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois as well as outside the United States borders.
A veteran of Foreign Wars, Dale served as chaplain in the Army National Guard in Kosovo and Iraq while on active duty.

Dale’s formal education includes a Masters of Divinity, with education, training and experience in counseling, leadership, suicide prevention, and marriage enrichment, clinical pastoral/hospital ministry assignments all of which provide him with a foundation to faithfully and effectively serve the Fond du Lac congregation.

Dale brings his beloved wife Sandra with him to the ministry.  Sandra is blessed with strong organizational, teaching and clerical skills.  They have one adult daughter, Anna, who is a church member.

Baptized as a baby into the Lutheran church, Dale through serious Bible study came to understand the necessity of repentance and baptism as a believer to be saved. In obedience to the Word, he straight way had his sins washed away in the waters of baptism and was added by God to His church.

Dale says, “I’m not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God unto Salvation.” (Romans 1:16) “I strive to teach the whole counsel of God’s Word, centering the message on Jesus Christ. I teach from the Old Law showing that man is a sinner and separated from God (Isaiah 59:1-2) and I teach from the New Law showing God’s answer to man’s sin problem is in His son Jesus, who died on the cross for man’s sin, was buried and rose again on the third day…the Gospel message.”
